Education & Experience

Hey there! My name is Alex, and I have been a part of 20/20 Optometry of Silicon Valley for the past 8 years. I began as the Front Desk Manager and am now proudly celebrating my 6th year as an Optician. I was trained by our senior optician, Shaun, who taught me how to help patients select the perfect frames for their lifestyle needs while also providing solutions for their optical needs. One of my favorite parts of being an optician is frame selection because it allows me to be both creative and personable. I truly enjoy connecting with patients one-on-one and helping them feel confident about their eyewear choices. Previously, I worked at my dad’s family business where I learned the importance of building relationships and giving personalized attention to every client. It’s incredibly rewarding to provide our patients with exceptional care and I am grateful to be part of an office that offers a genuine sense of family, support and belonging.

Personal Life

Growing up in San Jose, California, I was fortunate that my parents prioritized frequent trips to Mexico so that my siblings and I could stay connected to our roots and the culture of our ancestors. Those trips allowed me to build strong relationships with my family in Mexico, experience traditions firsthand, and appreciate the values and culture that shaped my family. These experiences shaped who I am today, and I hope
to pass down these traditions to my daughters as well.

My biggest accomplishment is being a loving mother to my two daughters, Avery and Marina. Becoming a mom at a young age came with many challenges, but it has been the most rewarding experience of my life. They are my entire world. I cherish every moment I spend with them and love watching them grow, learn, and become their own little people. As a full-time working mom, I do not get much free time, but when I do, my family and I enjoy exploring new places and trying all kinds of food. I’m also a big fan of true crime and horror movies (I only watch them when the kids are not around, of course.)
