FRAMES for every SHAPE of face

Choosing Your Pair of Prescription Designer Glasses & Sunglasses

You have many choices when it comes to your eyewear. It might seem overwhelming when you're trying to make a decision, but fortunately, there are many ways to narrow your available selection now. Consider your face shape when choosing designer glasses and sunglasses; specific lens shapes will flatter your face better than others.

If you have any questions about which prescription designer glasses and sunglasses would look best on your face, feel free to ask our friendly team! We'll be happy to help you find the perfect frames.

a woman with oval face

Oval Face

Due to their relatively symmetrical proportions, oval faces work well with almost any style of glasses. Rectangular or cat-eye frames look the best, but feel free to experiment!

a woman with square face

Square Face

If you have a broad forehead and straw jawline, you'll want to choose prescription designer glasses that soften your features and elongate your face shape. Round or oval frames can help with this; avoid rectangular or angular styles.

a woman with round face

Round Face

Round faces tend to be short and feature wide cheeks, wide foreheads, and rounded chins. Use sharper angles in your prescription glasses or sunglasses to compliment your face shape. Square and rectangular frames look excellent on round faces.

a woman with heart-shaped face

Heart-Shaped Face

People with heart-shaped faces have wide cheekbones, broad foreheads, and small chins. Most styles work well on heart-shaped faces, but rimless and oval shapes work best. Avoid anything with a prominent browline to avoid drawing the eye to your forehead.

a woman with diamond-shaped face

Diamond-Shaped Face

Diamond-shaped faces are narrow at the eyeline and jaw, accompanied by high and broad cheekbones. Offset these features with glasses that feature prominent browlines, such as cat-eyes or semi-rimless frames.

a woman with oblong face

Oblong Face

If your face is longer than it is wide, with long and straight cheek lines, you should gravitate towards wide aviators or square frames to contrast your features. Avoid narrow, rectangular frames that make your face seem longer.
