Teresa, Optometric Technician

Hello, my name is Teresa and I am one of the technicians that pretests you before seeing the doctor. I was born and raised in San Jose, California. I speak Spanish fluently, thanks to my grandparents who only speak Spanish. They were born in Mexico and immigrated here to California. My grandparents would often take me on trips to Mexico during my childhood and that gave me the opportunity to learn more about my heritage. I love embracing our Mexican culture with all the traditions and delicious foods. I am the oldest of five children. Being the oldest, I usually help my parents out by taking care of my siblings; even though I do not have children of my own, I do feel like a parent with the responsibilities of caring for my siblings. As chaotic as a large family can be, I love it and would not change it for the world. On my free time I enjoy going to the beach, watching the sunset, and traveling to see new places. I also love cooking and challenging myself with new recipes.
