20/20 Optometry of Silicon Valley - optometrist serving the bay area, ca
I used to wear contacts exclusively, and the ladies at 20/20 Optometry encouraged me to try on a few frames. They picked out for me, and I fell in love with one immediately. Now I exclusively wear glasses and get compliments on my frame almost every day... A. Ing
First of all, you will never come to a better place to improve your vision. The service an d the actual finished product far exceed anywhere I have ever been previously. My previous glasses were a disaster and took away from my ability to look good wearing glasses. After my visit.. A.Teboul
I read about dry eyes in a brochure at Dr. Lee’s office awaiting my first appointment/ visit. It seemed I had this as all the symptoms sounded familiar. Dr. Lee agreed I did have dry eyes and set me up on a plan to decrease the irritation in my eyes. A few weeks later, most.. C. Garcia
I cannot believe the change I had. I REFUSE to live the life with out the magic glasses Dr. Lee gave to me. I feel much better and relaxed after Dr. Lee found my eye problem and fix it. I have been fighting with it for over 20 years. I really wish I have seen Dr. Lee earlier in m.. J. Zhu
What a wonderful experience - Great people, great products, great service. Shaun is the best! I will refer everyone here. If I have to wear glasses, they should be fun – she gets it!.. L. Osborne
LASIK has given me a new found freedom from glasses that I haven’t had for over 10 years. I can’t explain how great it is to work and stay without the hassle of wearing glasses and the burden of needing to take them with me wherever I go... M. Torrez
A visual trip to the "eye doctor" seems like the most "boring" thing that must get done. However, at 20/20 Optometry, my experience was fun. The whole office staffs made my visit fun and exciting. Kudos to the doctor and her staff... V.Delgado

Eye Exams & Contact Lens Evaluations in the Bay Area, CA

What is a contact lens evaluation?

A contact evaluation is performed for all first time wearers and existing contact lens wearers.  It is medically necessary to perform an evaluation annually to ensure the eyes are healthy, the vision is good, and the contact lenses are fitting properly.  Without a consultation, the contact prescription cannot be renewed.

contact lens eye exams in the bay area, caSince the technology of contact lens is constantly changing, so does our contact lens fitting.  Our goal is to make sure your eyes are as healthy as can be.  So even though you may have had no problems with your existing lenses, we will often times fit you with newer generation lenses so that your eyes will see better, feel better, and be healthier too.

Below are the many different types of contact lenses we fit:

We now fit the revolutionary new SynergEyes hybrid contact lenses

  1. Spherical disposable contacts
  2. Aspheric disposable contacts
  3. Toric disposable contacts (corrects for astigmatism)
  4. Bifocal/ multi-focal disposable contacts
  5. Mono-vision disposable contacts
  6. Colored contacts
  7. Wild Eyes contacts  (fun and crazy designs on the contacts)
  8. One day disposable contacts
  9. CRT – Corneal Refractive Therapy (corneal remolding)
  10. Rigid gas permeable contact lenses
  11. Bifocal gas permeable contact lenses
  12. Orthokeratology (corneal reshaping)
  13. Therapeutic colored contacts (disfigured eyes)

We fit many types of contact lenses, whether it is cosmetic, functional, or therapeutic.  We fit many patients with a disposable type of contact lens, meaning that you change your contact lenses more than once yearly.  The disposable contacts are healthier, feel cleaner, give your eyes more oxygen and allow you to always have a back-up pair of contact lenses.  The patients’ lifestyle helps the doctors determine which replacement schedule will work the best.  We have some patients that have a combination of 1-day disposable contacts and 2-week disposable contact lenses.

Our eye doctors are fitting many patients with the revolutionary new lenses by SynergEyes, the hybrid contact lens that is part soft and part gas permeable. We fit more SynergEyes lenses than the rigid gas permeable lenses (RGP), because the SynergEyes contacts provide patients with HD or “high definition” vision with the comfort of a soft lens. These lenses, like RGP contacts work great on those patients whose prescriptions constantly change.  These lenses help stabilize the vision and are often used in young children as a form of prevention of myopia progression.   SynergEyes contacts will definitely help improve vision in those patients with distorted corneas, keratoconus, and post-refractive surgery patients.  We welcome the challenge of fitting the “hard to fit” eyeballs.

Come by our office and get fitted for contacts. We will fit you with the contact lens that is perfect for you!
