Optical Manager/ Eyewear Stylist
I am your personal eyewear stylist. I personally hand pick every frame that’s in our office. Not too many people enjoy their job, but I can honestly say, “I LOVE what I do.” I have been working with Dr. Lee for over 9 years. I was born and raised in Hawaii and I learned how important good UV protection was for the eyes. By the age of five, Oakley sunglasses were at the top of my Christmas list, not an Atari game or Barbie dolls. I was the only child in my grade school with a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses. Growing up I always used designer eyewear. In my personal eyewear wardrobe, I own over 60 pairs of eyewear.
While working full-time here, I have been going to school part-time. Fall of 2008, I have acquired my Bachelors of Science Degree in Advertising. After graduating, I have decided to stay in the optical field because I’ve realized eyewear is one of my passions.
Other than my passion for eyewear, my other passion is food! I love to eat out, cook and entertain. In fact, my television is set on the Food Network 75% of the time. If you have any interesting recipes, or know of any great restaurants, let me know. Outside of working, I enjoy traveling, playing volleyball, riding my mountain bike and working out.

Front desk manager/ Optical assistant

I am glad to be back with 20/20 Optometry. I€ve always admired how friendly and professional the office had been back when I first joined them in 2003. I remember walking in the office to meet Dr. Lee and her staff for the first time and was so excited to become part of a great team. Knowing how comfortable and welcoming the atmosphere was for me made me realize exactly what our patients feel when they visit our office€ they feel €at home.€ The relationship that I share with the 20/20 team is a special one because I refer all my friends and family to the office because I know our office will put each person€s eye care needs as their first priority.
Prior to working in the optical field, I did not see an eye doctor until age 12. I remember my eyes gleamed with excitement when my mom finally said I could wear contact lenses! I couldn€t wait to go to school the next day and show my friends what they were missing. At 20/20, I€m able to develop a shared reality with any patient who puts on their first pair of contact lenses!
My job is to coordinate new and returning patients schedules with Drs. Lee and associates so that they can provide the best eye care possible. I am available to answer questions you may have about your vision insurance, eye glasses, contact lenses and can even help select your eyewear for you. I am here to take care of all of your needs.
Outside of work, I enjoy dining out at new restaurants with friends and family, comedy clubs, traveling and outdoor sports.

Jozelle
Finance manager/ Optometric Assistant
In my third year of college I developed a curiosity with Optometry that never stopped growing. With the help of Dr. Lee and the 20/20 Optometry staff, I was able to see so much about the profession that I would have never been exposed to in a lecture hall or text book. Working with people who are passionate about what they do has made me realize that the most important thing in life is to do what you love, no matter what that may be. I am fascinated with everything about the eyes and am striving to become an Optometrist someday.
Unfortunately, many people fail to appreciate their ability to see until something goes wrong. I feel that it is important to not only make sure that the eyes are healthy but to help educate patients on how critical it is to take proper care of the eyes.
I recently graduated from the University of California, Berkeley and am currently in the process of applying to Optometry school. On my spare time, you could probably find me hanging out with my boyfriend, friends and family. I love, love, love trying out new places to eat and then writing about them on yelp. Two things I am crazy about are shopping and the Los Angeles Lakers. And finally, last but not least-GO BEARS!!!

Jackie
Eyewear Stylist/ Optometric Assistant

I began working at this office in early 2008 and find it a great place to work because not only do I get to learn about optometry but also I get to work with people who hold the same passion. Optometry is truly a complete package—not only can I help others improve their eyesight, but I can help people live healthier lives. My passion to become an optometrist began at a young age when I needed to wear glasses. Having lived most of my life wearing glasses and contacts, I realize I could not have experienced life to its fullest potential without these tools. Therefore, I want others to have the same opportunity to maintain or improve their vision because it makes me feel good to enhance the quality of life of others.
I currently function as an optometric technician by pre-screening patients in preparation for the doctor. I train patients on proper insertion and removal of contact lenses. I also have the role of optician and eyewear stylist, educating patients on a variety of eyewear and lens options, as well as having people look amazing!
I am a SJSU Alumni and as well as former member of the Pre-Optometry Club. On my spare time I cook, workout, paint, hike, bike, and enjoy my collection of over a dozen pieces of eyewear!

Jayson
Optometric Assistant

My story with 20/20 Optometry actually started as an internship with Dr. Lee. My experience as an intern for Dr. Lee broadened my perspective about the Optometry field because I not only learned about the overall heath care of the eye but eye wear, contacts, LASIK, and the business aspect of running a private practice. After my internship, I backpacked throughout South America and returned with the same burning desire to learn more about Optometry.
Working at the office has been a wonderful experience. The staff here is a family who has welcomed me with warm smiles and food. Everyone here is always willing to teach me and I know when I go to optometry school I will bring the philosophies and skills I've acquired to make me a better student, and one day a great doctor.
When I am not working, I like to be outside. I enjoy biking, snowboarding, skim boarding, exploring, hiking, and I even began to learn how to surf. I love trying new activities, eating exotic foods, and having good conversations with people. My quote is: I live to eat, not eat to live.
