20/20 Optometry of Silicon Valley

20/20 Optometry of Silicon Valley opened its doors at the end of 2000.  This office began at this location because there was no eye doctor in the central part of Silicon Valley.  It was obvious that there was a need and a demand for a close, convenient eye doctor that catered to all those who work in the Silicon Valley.

This office has continued to grow strong since the first day of business because we try to meet the needs of our patients.  Our customer service is one of our strongest attributes.  We design specialty computer glasses for all of our computer users.  Since a majority of our patients use the computer during the day, many of them suffer from dry eye symptoms.  These symptoms negatively impact their visual performance and comfort during the day.  We offer many dry eye solutions and treatments that address the cause of the dry eye and not just the symptoms.

Our doctors are trained to perform eye examinations for babies starting at age 1 month to the geriatric patients.  We offer many designer frames for the young and the elderly.  Our staff spends time with each patient to help him or her select glasses that not only look good but also lenses that will perform the best.  From lens materials to lens coatings to tinted lenses, there are many choices to choose from.  Our doctors and staff will help guide you as to which options will eliminate work the best for your given prescription.

Soft contact lenses, astigmatism corrected contact lenses, rigid gas permeable lenses, lenses for cone-shaped eyes, and colored lenses are some of the many lenses that we fit at our office.  We also offer orthokeratology or CRT (corneal refractive therapy), which reshapes the cornea as to eliminate the need for wearing glasses or contacts during the day.  This is a non-surgical medical device that can be used overnight to reshape the eyes.

We perform free consultations for those patients interested in LASIK or other types of surgical procedures to eliminate the need to wear glasses or contact lenses.  Just give us a call for an appointment and we can help you decide which surgical procedure will fit your visual needs.
